GURU POORNIMA

POORNIMA -THE ETERNAL BOND OF DIVINE LOVE

Guru Poornima is a very sacred festival in India as our culture has always laid emphasis on paying utmost respect to our teachers. A very famous Indian saying goes like this “Guru Gobind dono khade, kahke lagu paye. Balihari guru, aapne  Gobind diyo bataye”. It means – both Guru and God are standing in front of me. To whom should I bow down to first? But whenever there is any doubt, first pay your regards to your teacher and show him gratitude because he is the one who told you about God. This shows how much teachers are revered in India.

The legend has it that Gautama Buddha gave his first sermon on this day at Sarnath, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. While this day is also important as Yogic system believes that it was on this day that Lord Shiva-who is the supreme power, gave the knowledge of the universe to Saptarishis (seven sages).  In many parts of the nation, this day is also celebrated as the birth anniversary of the greatest sage Maharishi Vyasa. All Hindus are greatly indebted to this ancient saint who edited the four Vedas, wrote the 18 puranas, The Mahabharata and the Srimad Bhagvatam. Maharishi Vyasa even taught Dattatreya, who is regarded as the Guru of Gurus.

Significance of Guru Poornima

On this day, all spiritual aspirants and devotees worship Maharishi Vyasa in honor of his divine personage and all disciples perform a ‘puja’ of their respective spiritual preceptor or ‘Gurudev’s.If we break the word Guru into two words, Gu-Ru then we realize the true meaning of this word, in Sanskrit ‘gu’ means darkness and ‘ru’ means the one who removes all darkness. So Guru or the teacher is the one who removes all our doubts, misconceptions and ushers in a whole new world in front of us. Hence this day is celebrated on Poornima or on the full moon day. Full moon is an indication of the presence of light, even at night which is the darkest moment of the day. Gurus are often equated with God and always regarded as a link between the individual and the Immortal. Just as the moon shines by reflecting the light of the sun, and glorifies it, all disciples can dazzle like the moon by gaining the wisdom from their Gurus. It is a good time to begin your spiritual sadhana. Traditionally, spiritual seekers commence to intensify their spiritual ‘sadhana’ from this day. The period of ‘Chaturmaas’ (“four months”) begins from this day. In the past, wandering spiritual masters and their disciples used to settle down at a place to study and discourse on the Brahma Sutras composed by Maharishi Vyasa, and engage themselves in Vedantic discussions.

I consider Guru Poornima, it is the celebration of the disciples all over the world, who wish to pay their mark of respect and utmost Gratitude to their Sadguru’s, Masters, Teachers for having removed the blinding mask of Plain intellect, and having broadened the vision of these disciples with the universal Wisdom ,be wise and progress faster onto their individual spiritual journey’s. I urge all the seekers, all over the world to connect with their Guru-tatva, so that they break free from the limitations of visualizing their Sadguru only in the physical form. Remember, the Guru-Tatva is always strongly and deeply connected with each and every one of you, the disciple has to keep a clear and strong intention to be connected with the Light and walk away from the darkness of Ignorance, Greed, and Pride, because the light of the Guru-Tatva, finally enables you to merge with the ultimate source of cosmic light, & this union, is the most beautiful experience that one can ever experience. So shun all your limitations, because there are really no limitations, all such limitations exist in your own mind. Illumine your mind and merge with your Guru-Tatva, unite your light with your Sadguru’s light and stay in the oneness, in this oneness you will surely find the entire universe and the universal knowledge ( the Brahma Gyan), that you have been searching for all the births together. And once you merge with atma jyoti of your Guru-tatva, then there will always be oneness, Duality will cease to exist for the seeker. You and the universe will be one, & everything in this universe and you would have merged into oneness, after your initial separation from the BIG BANG. Prepare yourself, commit yourself, to Experience the experience. This will surely be your ultimate achievement. This is the best and most important Guru-Dakshina that an earnest Disciple can ever give to his/her Sadguru.I have merged my Light with my Sadguru Mahavatar Babaji’s light, and I’m encouraging you to do the same and experience the divinity through your experience.

The Universe has seen and experienced enough and more torture’s due to the intellectual emotions of anger, fear and sadness, it’s now time to give back to the Universe, the true emotion, with which God created the Universe” UNCONDITIONAL LOVE”. This Guru Poornima, I urge all my disciples and all of humanity, to increase your spiritual Sadhana, to give back the lost LOVE,HARMONY,PEACE of our Universe. Increase your positive vibrations through your KriyaYoga Sadhana, and let the Bond of Positivity, once again envelope the universe with LOVE,HARMONY & PEACE,& let this bond of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE be so strong, that it swallows all the negativity of this universe, & collectively we all contribute to the restoration of LOVE& PEACE on this Universe. This according to me will be the Best Guru-Dakshina, that each of the disciples can give, to their GURU, who has been relentlessly working for constantly uplifting their disciples from the throes of DARKNESS.

HAPPY GURUPOORNIMA TO ALL OF HUMANITY.MY BLESSINGS & BEST WISHES FOR A UNIVERSE FILLED WITH   “UNCONDITIONAL LOVE & UNCONDITIONAL FORGIVENESS”

LOVE& BLESSINGS
